Recipes to Remember by the McConnell Area Historical Society
Our museum's cookbook that was published in 2005. The book was edited by Tim Mulhall, Hedy Daughenbaugh and Colleen Rakowska and includes over 500 time-tested recipes in a 3-ring style cookbook separated in categories such as Appetizers and Beverages, Vegetables and Side Dishes, Main Dishes, Cookies and Candy, Desserts, This and That. Historical facts pertaining to McConnell's past are also included throughout the cookbook pages. McConnell Depot Christmas Ornaments
Our McConnell depot Christmas Ornaments were hand made by historical society member, Glenn Hockman. They are made of wood with an actual image of the former Illinois Central Railroad Station at McConnell on the surface. Each are dated and numbered. Ornaments may be purchased at the museum for $8.00 each.
